Ouzoud Waterfall day trip From Marrakech starting at 08:30 …

Located in the Grand Atlas village of Tanaghmeilt, the 110-meter-high waterfalls, known as Ouzoud, are the region’s top attraction. Surrounding the falls, you’ll find green valleys, mills, orchards, and a stunning circuit through the Slaves’ River gorges. Ouzoud means ‘olive’ in Berber, named after the nearby olive trees. Access the bottom of the falls via a shaded path lined with olive trees. At the summit, there are a dozen old mills still in use. During twilight, watch troops of monkeys. For a challenging adventure, follow a narrow track to the Benni Malal road while descending the 600-meter-deep canyon of ‘Wadi el-Abid.

A Challenging Descent

Standing at the top of the reddish-brown craggy rocks, the plunging cascades are a marvellous sight to see. Stretching around the wide cliffs, the highest fall is around 100 metres high. Made up of several individual waterfalls of varying heights and widths, it’s rather a unique vision. Gaze down at the river below and you’ll see small boats bobbing on the water, and shimmering rainbows can often be seen in the spray. Hiking in Ouzoud waterfall
